About
Farrukh grew up in Khorog and knows the Pamirs not from maps but from the trails themselves. Over twelve seasons he has led dozens of groups along the Pamir Highway, the Wakhan Corridor and the Fann Mountains — from unhurried cultural trips to high-altitude treks to the Alaudin and Iskanderkul lakes.
He takes care of the very things that make people fall in love with the mountains: proper acclimatisation, a safe schedule, nights in family guesthouses and encounters with locals you will never find in a guidebook. Farrukh knows where to wait out a pass in bad weather and which household in the village serves the best qurutob.
In the low season he scouts new route variations and trains junior guides — so Sayohat's quality never depends on a single person.
