ABOUT THE ROUTE
A six-day journey through the Pamirs departing from Dushanbe — a comfortable route for discovering the nature, history and culture of Tajikistan.
The programme includes a visit to the ancient Hisor Fortress, a walk through Dushanbe and a drive along one of the country’s most beautiful mountain roads, following the Panj river.
You will see scenic valleys and mountain villages, and discover the traditional way of life of the people of the Pamirs. In Kalaikhum you stay in a guesthouse and get a feel for the atmosphere of the region.
The route combines historical sites, mountain scenery and an unhurried style of travel, with no demanding trekking.
TRIP PROGRAMME
Day-by-day itinerary
Arrival in Dushanbe. Meeting at the airport, transfer to the hotel, check-in. Free time to rest after the flight.
Excursion to Hisor: a visit to the Hisor Fortress and the surrounding area. Return to Dushanbe. A short sightseeing walk through the city. Overnight at the hotel.
Transfer from Dushanbe to Kalaikhum. A scenic road along the mountains and the Panj river, with photo stops. Arrival, check-in at the guesthouse, dinner.
Exploring the area around Kalaikhum: walks through the villages, discovering local life and the nature of the region. Free time. Overnight at the guesthouse.
Transfer from Kalaikhum to Dushanbe along the same panoramic road. Stops along the way to rest and take photographs. Arrival in Dushanbe, check-in at the hotel.
Free time in Dushanbe (without transport). Independent walks, souvenir shopping. Departure.
The order and content of days may be adjusted to departure dates and weather.
